About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Banquet Captain to join our team at Four Seasons Resort & Residences Whistler. As a key member of our Food and Beverage team, you will be responsible for overseeing the smooth operation of banquet functions, ensuring exceptional service standards, and fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the setup, service, and breakdown of banquet events, ensuring seamless execution and exceptional guest satisfaction.
  • Assist the Food and Beverage Manager in developing and implementing service standards, menus, and event concepts.
  • Lead and motivate a team of servers, bartenders, and other support staff to deliver exceptional service and ensure a positive guest experience.
  • Monitor and control event budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources and minimizing waste.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including culinary, events, and housekeeping, to ensure seamless execution of events.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure repeat business and referrals.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a lead server or supervisory role in a luxury hotel or restaurant environment.
  • Strong knowledge of food and beverage operations, including menu planning, inventory management, and wine knowledge.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and clients.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Availability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
