Spacesaver Solutions Inc. is on the lookout for a proficient and seasoned Accounting Manager to enhance our finance division. This role will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and will entail supervising daily accounting operations, managing financial reporting workflows, overseeing payroll processes, and ensuring adherence to regulatory standards across all corporate entities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger management, bank reconciliations, and payroll administration.
  • Guarantee timely processing of payroll, T4's, ROE, and vacation calculations.
  • Ensure precise and prompt handling of financial transactions, encompassing invoicing, billing, and expense oversight.
  • Compile and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with Canadian ASPE standards.
  • Establish and uphold internal controls to protect company assets and ensure the accuracy of financial data.
  • Assist in the annual budgeting process and prepare regular forecasts to aid financial planning and decision-making.
  • Coordinate with external auditors to streamline the annual audit process and address any findings or recommendations.
  • Prepare and submit tax returns, ensuring compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations.
  • Monitor cash flow, working capital, and liquidity to support business operations and strategic initiatives.
  • Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and industry best practices to ensure compliance with applicable laws and standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic initiatives and foster business growth opportunities.
  • Continuously enhance accounting and financial processes to support organizational advancement.
  • Assist the CFO with special projects and initiatives as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline.
  • CPA designation preferred or actively pursuing designation is required.
  • At least 5 years of progressive experience in an accounting or finance role.
  • Strong understanding of Canadian ASPE and financial accounting principles.
  • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; experience with ADP systems is advantageous.
  • Experience in a multi-entity environment is preferred.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy and compliance.
  • Able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively in a dynamic and challenging setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to cultivate a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborative approach, with the capability to work effectively across departments and influence decision-making at all organizational levels.
