Job Summary

BGC Okanagan is seeking experienced and passionate professionals to fill the role of Program Area Leader for our School Aged Child Care Program. As a Program Area Leader, you will play a vital role in shaping the lives of children and their families, creating a safe and engaging environment that fosters growth and development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement activities and special events for the program, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operation of the program, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, program standards, and organizational policies.
  • Collaborate with the supervisor to recommend program development, policy formulation, and program evaluation.
  • Promote public awareness and support for the program through marketing materials and community engagement.
  • Liaise with community service providers and professionals to coordinate service provision, facilitate referrals, and represent the organization in external events.
  • Maintain accurate records and statistics, and produce reports as required.
Requirements
  • A diploma, certificate, or relevant experience working with children in recreation, education, or other social services.
  • A current First Aid certificate and 20 Hours Responsible Adult training or willingness to obtain.
  • A Class 4 driver's license or willingness to obtain.
  • Successful completion of Agency screening, including a Criminal Record Check.
  • Must be at least 19 years of age as per Provincial Licensing Regulations.
