Join Our Team as a Recreation Leader

We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Recreation Leader to join our team at Canadian Forces Morale and Welfare Services (CFMWS). As a Recreation Leader, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse group of individuals, including preschoolers, children, youth, adults, and seniors, in a variety of settings and program formats.

About the Role

As a Recreation Leader, you will be responsible for designing and delivering recreational programs that promote physical activity, socialization, and skill development. You will work closely with our team to develop and implement programs that meet the needs of our community members.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading arts and crafts, fitness and wellness, performing arts, sports, and outdoor adventure activities
  • Designing and delivering recreational programs that promote physical activity and socialization
  • Working with children, youth, adults, and seniors in a variety of settings and program formats
  • Ensuring a safe and healthy environment for all participants
Qualifications and Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma
  • Current CPR and Basic First Aid qualifications
  • A valid driver's license (Alberta), an asset
  • Experience working with children, programming activities for children, and leading children in activities
  • Competencies in client focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork, and leadership
Language Requirements

English is the primary language of communication for this role, but bilingualism (English and French) is an asset.
