Amazon Canada Fulfillment Services, ULC - B85 is seeking an experienced and innovative Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) Manager to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring a safe and healthy working environment for our associates.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement WHS policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, regional, and federal regulations.
- Conduct regular site audits to identify and mitigate potential hazards and risks.
- Collaborate with the operations team to execute company WHS policies and ensure a safe and healthy working environment.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce conditional and ergonomic risk in our processes.
- Develop and execute leadership development plans for WHS professionals.
- Communicate team expectations and provide frequent feedback to ensure the team is executing to the core competencies of an Amazon WHS professional.
- 3+ years of increasing responsibilities in WHS or environmental programs in manufacturing, production, or service operations experience.
- Bachelor's degree, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications, including pivot tables and chart development.
- Experience in Distribution Center or Manufacturing EHS with a mix of exempt and non-exempt employees at a site of at least 250 people.
- Experience implementing lean principles and process improvement in an operational environment.
