Job Summary

The Senior Commercial Underwriting Manager will play a critical role in analyzing and underwriting commercial credit facilities, ensuring compliance with established lending guidelines and procedures. This position requires a self-starter with sound underwriting decisions, creative thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze and underwrite commercial credit facilities, including construction and conventional loans, with a focus on ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Communicate with external and internal contacts to ensure timely and efficient transaction processing, delivering superior customer service and meeting funding deadlines.
  • Manage deal flow to meet prescribed deadlines, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple competing priorities.
  • Perform various administrative and reporting duties, providing critical support to the department and senior management.
Requirements
  • Proficient underwriting skills, preferably with a minimum 5 years of commercial mortgage experience.
  • Demonstrated service excellence and strong business sense, combined with sound technical knowledge of secured lending and the commercial mortgage market.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle complex applications and make sound decisions.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple competing priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to effectively communicate with external and internal contacts.
