Job Summary

The Senior Commercial Underwriting Manager will play a key role in analyzing and underwriting commercial credit facilities, ensuring compliance with established lending guidelines and procedures. This position requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and organizational abilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze and underwrite commercial credit facilities, including construction and conventional loans, to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Communicate with external and internal contacts to ensure timely and efficient processing of transactions.
  • Manage deal flow to meet prescribed deadlines and ensure all lending criteria are satisfied.
  • Perform various administrative and reporting duties on a monthly basis.
Requirements
  • Proficient underwriting skills with a minimum 5 years commercial mortgage experience.
  • Demonstrated service excellence within the field.
  • Post-secondary education (diploma/degree) preferred, preferably in business or finance.
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office (primarily Word and Excel).
  • Effective analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong business sense combined with sound technical knowledge of secured lending and factors affecting the commercial mortgage market.
  • Established organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple competing priorities.
  • Good time management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
