Logistics Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Logistics Operations Manager to join our team at Trans 99 Logistics. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing the day-to-day activities of our logistics operations.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate Activities: Work closely with other departments to ensure seamless coordination of logistics activities, including transportation, freight forwarding, and warehouse operations.
- Prepare and Submit Reports: Develop and submit regular reports to management on key performance indicators, including inventory levels, shipping and receiving schedules, and operational efficiency.
- Resolve Work Problems: Identify and resolve operational issues, provide technical advice, and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
- Train and Develop Team Members: Provide training and guidance to team members on duties and policies, and ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
- Coordinate and Assign Work: Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members, and review their progress to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Requisition and Order Materials: Source and procure materials, equipment, and supplies as needed to support logistics operations.
- Establish Work Schedules and Procedures: Develop and implement work schedules and procedures to ensure efficient and effective logistics operations.
- Plan and Oversee Operational Logistics: Develop and implement plans to improve operational logistics, including transportation, inventory management, and warehouse operations.
- Supervise a Team of 5-10 People: Lead and manage a team of logistics professionals, including shippers and receivers, transportation route and crew schedulers.
- Fast-Paced Environment: Work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and a high level of attention to detail.
- Work Under Pressure: Manage stress and work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines and deliver results.
- Attention to Detail: Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of logistics operations.
- Accurate and Efficient: Demonstrate accuracy and efficiency in all aspects of logistics operations.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Possess excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate with team members, management, and external stakeholders.
