Clinical Psychologist, Community Mental Health Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our Community Mental Health team at IWK Health. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients, including children and adolescents, and provide evidence-based assessments, consultations, and interventions.
Key Responsibilities- Provide evidence-based assessments, consultations, and interventions for youth aged 3-19 years
- Work collaboratively with other health professionals to provide comprehensive care
- Develop and implement treatment plans that address the unique needs of each client
- Participate in the clinical training activities of the Psychology discipline
- Contribute to the development and implementation of program policies and procedures
- Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from an accredited university program
- Completion of an APA or CPA accredited Predoctoral Internship in Psychology
- Current registration with or eligibility to be registered with the Nova Scotia Board of Examiners in Psychology
- Formal training and clinical experience in child and adolescent mental health
- Demonstrated ability to assess and treat a broad range of mental health populations
- Demonstrated ability to use evidence-based assessment and treatment methods
- Demonstrated ability to consult with professional and para-professional staff
