Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Educational Program Assistant to join our team at Madeline Symonds Middle School. As an Educational Program Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational needs of our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support to students with diverse needs, including those with physical, emotional, and cognitive disabilities.
  • Assist with daily routines, such as toileting, personal care, and use of assistive technology.
  • Support students with seizure management and behaviour management strategies.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to develop and implement individualized education plans.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Valid First Aid/CPR Certification.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds and perform light to medium lifting.
  • Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Certification.
  • Related diploma or certificate from a recognized post-secondary institution, including a formal practicum placement.
