Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Educational Program Assistant to join our team at Millwood High. As an Educational Program Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational needs of our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide daily support to students with diverse needs, including those with Down's Syndrome and Autism.
  • Assist with implementation and tracking of behavior targets, de-escalation strategies, and pro-social skills development.
  • Support students with toileting, personal care, and use of assistive technology.
  • Participate in crisis intervention and behavior management.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans.
Requirements
  • Valid First Aid/CPR Certification.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Certification.
  • Experience working with students with diverse needs.
  • Related diploma or certificate from a recognized post-secondary institution.
