Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Educational Program Assistant to join our team at Marine Drive Academy. As an Educational Program Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational and personal needs of our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide daily support to students with varying needs, including toileting, personal care, and use of assistive technology.
  • Assist with seizure management and behavior management support, including implementation and tracking of behavior targets.
  • Support students with Down's Syndrome and Autism, and provide a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Valid First Aid/CPR Certification.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
  • Experience working with students with special needs, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
