Rather than reporting on player statistics or game scores, we delve into groundbreaking developments, providing thorough analysis and exclusive interviews that captivate both fans and athletes.

Position Overview

The Sports Technology Reporter will be responsible for producing five articles each week that highlight the most recent sports tech developments throughout the weekdays. This role will enable you to cultivate a comprehensive understanding of the sports sector from technological, digital, social, and business viewpoints by consistently covering significant sports tech news.

Primary Objective:

Keep our audience updated on the latest happenings at the crossroads of technology and sports, delivering the insights they seek to remain informed about the industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate closely with the SportTechie leadership to report on the day's leading sports tech stories.
  2. Craft articles that are both concise and informative.
  3. Receive article assignments each morning or evening.
  4. Produce a new article within 1-4 hours of receiving an assignment in the morning or by the next morning.
  5. Maintain a flexible schedule and ensure prompt communication via email.
  6. Possess a solid understanding of the sports industry.
  7. This is an unpaid internship, and we are open to accommodating students seeking internship credit.
Qualifications

This position is ideal for individuals looking to gain valuable reporting experience in the realms of sports and technology. The role offers flexibility, and we prioritize academic commitments.

  1. Prior writing experience is a significant advantage for candidates who can provide writing samples.
  2. Ability to quickly generate error-free content based on specific assignments is essential.
  3. Openness to feedback on your writing is required.
  4. Capability to succinctly summarize a sports tech story into an engaging and insightful article.
