About the Role

We are seeking an experienced IT Field Operations Coordinator to join our team at Bracell. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for providing technical support services and implementation for current and future infrastructure systems and applications across multiple disciplines and locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support services for desktops, laptops, servers, LANs, WANs, Internet, intranet, security, wireless, applications, and voice communications.
  • Function as an expert user with both IT and application expertise, serving as a cross-functional, knowledgeable, single point of contact for staff and contractors.
  • Manage and support internal infrastructure, hardware, data center interactions, and network security.
  • Provide technical support to all users, translating user and/or system requirements into functional specifications.
  • Create project documents and associated planning documents, as well as facilitate stakeholder meetings.
  • Create network cabling as per Pacific Canbriam Standards.
  • Implement cybersecurity policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Create business requirements, functional specifications, and technical requirements when required.
  • Complete data analysis in both software testing and implementations, including software/hardware evaluations and upgrades.
  • Provide support by bridging communication between vendors, site IT, and operations teams.
  • Deploy new software version releases and updates; troubleshoot end-user feedback and implement solutions.
  • Provide site Operations users with knowledge, training, and support when needed.
  • Manage IT assets, including maintenance of component inventory and related documentation.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • A minimum of 5 years' extensive, hands-on experience with IT service management and IT Infrastructure, administration, and maintenance.
  • Minimum of 2 years' telecommunication systems administration and maintenance.
  • Network and OT experience strongly preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years in Oil and Gas experience.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to various sites within British Columbia (Fort St. John sites).
  • Occasional overtime will be required.

  • Ability to understand end-user urgency and sensitivity of issues and consistent follow through on delivery to the customer on time.
  • Hands-on experience and excellent knowledge in troubleshooting Windows Operations systems: Windows 10 Pro, Windows 11 Pro, Windows Server 2019 & Windows Server 2022.
  • Hands-on experience and good knowledge of network cabling, switching, routing, wireless, and firewalls.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, MS Visio, and MS Project.
  • Exceptional knowledge of computer and laptop hardware.
  • Knowledge/understanding of Windows 200x Servers, SharePoint, SQL Server, Microsoft Exchange 20xx, Active Directory, DNS, TCP/IP, Fortinet switches, and firewalls, LAN/WAN setups, VPN, Starlink setup, and Voice over IP communication.
  • Preferred knowledge of Fortinet and Cisco products.
