About the Role
Pizza Delight is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Food Service Team Member to join our team. As a key member of our restaurant staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive dining experience for our guests.
Main Responsibilities
- Apply health and safety regulations to maintain a clean and hygienic work environment;
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and WHMIS guidelines;
- Organize and maintain a clean and efficient work area;
- Clear and reset tables in the dining room;
- Wash and put away dishes;
- Supply service areas with necessary items;
- Take reservations and greet take-out counter guests;
- Present menus, make suggestions, and answer questions about food and beverages;
- Take orders and transmit them to the kitchen staff through the POS system;
- Prepare and serve beverages, wines, liquors, and cocktails while adhering to Pizza Delight's customer service protocol;
- Prepare and serve desserts;
- Serve meals and ensure quality service in the dining room while adhering to Pizza Delight's customer service protocol;
- Prepare bills for meals and/or beverages, receive payments, and balance daily financial transactions;
- Perform other tasks as requested by the supervisor.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Experience in restaurant operations, with on-the-job training provided;
- Manual dexterity and attention to detail;
- Ability to understand complex situations and adapt to change;
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including teamwork, collaboration, and communication;
- Bilingualism may be required;
- Good personal grooming, confidence, integrity, stress management skills, dynamism, autonomy, and flexibility.
Working Conditions
This role requires:
- Pre-scheduled work hours with occasional overtime;
- Variable schedules, including evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays;
- Part-time work opportunities;
- Split shifts;
- A fast-paced work environment with pressure to maintain a high work pace.
