Quality Care Liaison

We are seeking a highly skilled and culturally sensitive individual to join our team as a Quality Care Liaison. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in coordinating feedback and improving the quality of care for self-identifying First Nations individuals in the Vancouver Coastal Region.
Key Responsibilities- Lead with culturally unique support to coordinate feedback across various healthcare settings, including acute care, residential services, mental health, public health, home health services, and community systems.
- Pioneer the FNHA approach to transforming complaints and shaping the future of client/patient care.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with First Nations communities and organizations to ensure culturally safe and effective care.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to identify and address quality improvement opportunities.
- Provide education and training to healthcare providers on cultural safety and trauma-informed care.
- University degree in social sciences, health, or a related field.
- 5-7 years of recent, pertinent experience working with First Nations organizations and communities, preferably in the Vancouver Coastal Region.
- Training in patient safety investigation and quality improvement, cultural safety, or trauma-informed care.
- Ability to handle First Nations patient and family interactions with cultural sensitivity, humility, and an emphasis on respect, compassion, and empathy.
