About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and culturally sensitive individual to join our team as a Quality Care Liaison. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in coordinating feedback and improving the quality of care for self-identifying First Nations individuals in the Vancouver Coastal Region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead with culturally unique support to coordinate feedback across various healthcare settings, including acute care, residential services, mental health, public health, home health services, and community systems.
  • Pioneer the FNHA approach to transforming complaints and shaping the future of client/patient care.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with First Nations communities and organizations to ensure culturally safe and effective care.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to identify and address quality improvement opportunities.
  • Provide education and training to healthcare providers on cultural safety and trauma-informed care.
Requirements
  • University degree in social sciences, health, or a related field.
  • 5-7 years of recent, pertinent experience working with First Nations organizations and communities, preferably in the Vancouver Coastal Region.
  • Training in patient safety investigation and quality improvement, cultural safety, or trauma-informed care.
  • Ability to handle First Nations patient and family interactions with cultural sensitivity, humility, and an emphasis on respect, compassion, and empathy.
