Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Delivery Drivers Supervisor to join our team at Galaxy Home Furnishing Corp. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery drivers and ensuring that our customers receive their orders in a timely and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Coordinate Delivery Drivers: Oversee the daily activities of our delivery drivers, ensuring that they are meeting their delivery targets and providing excellent customer service.
  • Manage Delivery Routes and Schedules: Plan and coordinate the most efficient delivery routes and schedules to ensure that our customers receive their orders on time.
  • Monitor and Improve Delivery Performance: Analyze delivery performance data and implement strategies to improve delivery times, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Train and Develop Delivery Drivers: Provide on-the-job training and coaching to our delivery drivers to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their duties effectively.
  • Manage Inventory and Supplies: Oversee the inventory and supplies needed for delivery operations, ensuring that we have the necessary resources to meet customer demand.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with our sales, customer service, and logistics teams to ensure that our delivery operations are aligned with our overall business goals.
Requirements
  • Education: College/CEGEP degree in a related field, such as logistics, supply chain management, or business administration.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a supervisory or management role, preferably in a delivery or logistics environment.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and coach delivery drivers to achieve their best performance. Proficient in MS Office, including Word and Excel.
Working Conditions
  • Work Setting: Our delivery drivers work in a fast-paced environment, often under pressure to meet tight deadlines. As a supervisor, you will need to be able to manage stress and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Physical Demands: The role requires standing for long periods, lifting up to 25 pounds, and working in a variety of weather conditions.
