CMGR-Case Manager

Job Summary:
Lifemark Health Group is seeking a highly skilled CMGR-Case Manager with a Kinesiology background to join our team in Nova Scotia. As a Disability Case Manager, you will be responsible for managing a caseload of disability claims for a large unionized organization. You will work closely with employers, union representatives, and physicians to obtain and review medical information, facilitating treatment and return-to-work solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Case manage disability claims
- Plan and implement sound case management strategies with a focus on treatment and recovery, with the goal of potential return to work
- Review accommodation requests and implement return-to-work plans
- Review accommodation requests for stay-at-work efforts
- Communicate claim decisions to all stakeholders involved
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of disability claims experience - New Kinesiologist grads encouraged to apply
- Experience with non-occupational disability claims
- NIDMAR or other related professional designations would be an asset
- Excellent documentation and time management skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with clients
- Must be detail-oriented and organized with analytical thinking skills
- Demonstrated excellence in decision-making, especially under pressure
- Reliable transportation required
