Job Title: CMGR-Case Manager
About the Role:
Lifemark Health Group is seeking a highly skilled Case Manager to join our team. As a Disability Case Manager, you will be responsible for managing a caseload of disability claims for a large unionized organization. You will work closely with employers, union representatives, and physicians to obtain and review medical information, facilitating treatment and return-to-work solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of disability claims, developing relationships with involved parties and providing expert advice to customers
- Work with employers, union representatives, and physicians to obtain and review medical information
- Develop and implement sound case management strategies to facilitate treatment and return-to-work solutions
- Review accommodation requests and implement return-to-work plans
- Communicate claim decisions to all stakeholders involved
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years disability claims experience
- Experience working with a carrier or other third-party provider actively adjudicating disability claims
- Experience with non-occupational disability claims
- Experience adjudicating mental health and physical disability claims
- NIDMAR or other related professional designations would be an asset
- Excellent documentation and time management skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with clients
- Must be detail-oriented and organized with an analytical thinker
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (French would be an asset)
