Benefits Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled Associate Benefits Consultant to join our team at People Corporation. As a key member of our team, you will provide expert consulting services to our clients, leveraging your extensive knowledge of group benefits to deliver innovative solutions to complex challenges.
Key Responsibilities:- Contribute to the design and management of group medical, dental, life, disability, and special risk benefits for clients, including developing and implementing strategies to support client retention.
- Identify client group insurance risks and recommend appropriate plan design and cost mitigation strategies.
- Assess, negotiate, and prepare reports and presentations for group renewals, as well as marketing and peer review of quote comparisons.
- Ensure smooth transitions of benefits to new carriers, mitigating client risk and exposure through plan mapping, member coverage, and communication.
- Price and analyze costings, including assessment and analysis of alternative funding arrangements.
- Act as a second chair for medium to large clients, managing the quality and timeliness of client deliverables.
- Develop annual client plans to ensure clients receive value-added service and that work aligns with client goals and objectives.
- Participate in client calls and meetings, assisting with presentation preparation and document creation.
- Manage client expectations and effectively address concerns or issues.
- Mentor analysts/technical staff and peer review work as needed.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in group benefits in a client-facing or consulting capacity, providing strategic and innovative solutions to clients' complex benefits challenges.
- Deep expertise and understanding of the group benefits industry, including funding arrangements and flex programs.
- Superior analytical and mathematical skills, strategic planning, communication, and listening skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- A positive attitude and strong team player who works well with internal and external stakeholders.
- A solution and results-oriented individual who demonstrates excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and provide deliverables as identified in a timely manner.
- Proficiency and comfort working with multi-channel technology.
- Completion of or ability to complete the Life License Qualification Program within 90 days of joining.
- Availability to travel on an as-needed basis.
- Valid Driver's License and Vehicle.
- Group Benefits Associate (GBA) or CEBS designation or currently working towards it.
