Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager, Clinical Data Systems to join our team at Allergan. As a key member of our Data Science team, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of clinical data systems that drive business value from clinical trials data.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead Clinical Data Systems Development: Manage multiple therapeutic areas and lead the development and implementation of clinical data systems that meet business requirements.
  2. Manage Technology Evaluations: Evaluate and implement technologies to improve performance and reduce costs.
  3. Develop and Sustain a High-Performing Team: Create and sustain an environment that attracts, develops, and retains strong talent.
  4. Practice Continuous Improvement: Continuously improve processes and technology usage to drive business value.
  5. Act as Subject Matter Expert: Serve as a subject matter expert and process owner for clinical data systems.
  6. Supervise and Allocate Resources: Supervise and allocate internal and external resources within the therapeutic area.
  7. Ensure Performance Assessment Responsibilities: Ensure all performance assessment responsibilities are achieved for direct reports.
  8. Manage Cross-Functional Initiatives: Manage cross-functional initiatives to drive business value.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree in management information systems, computer science, life sciences, or equivalent.
  2. Experience: 8+ years of experience with clinical database design, data loading, and database modeling concepts or 9+ years of experience in a similar technical or clinical development environment.
  3. Technical Skills: Demonstrated intermediate SAS and/or SQL programming skills and expert knowledge of database concepts.
  4. Industry Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of CDASH and SDTM Standards and in-depth understanding of clinical trial processes.
  5. Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to influence others without direct authority, demonstrated performance as a key contributor to initiatives, and demonstrated ability to successfully coach/mentor in a matrix environment.
