The Department of Medicine within the Faculty of Health Sciences at McMaster University is seeking a dedicated Clinical Rheumatology Specialist to enhance the Division of Rheumatology. This is a full-time faculty role with a renewable contract, and the academic rank will be determined based on the applicant's qualifications and experience.

The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive experience and training in the clinical management of patients with Systemic Sclerosis (Scleroderma). A strong interest in both education and research pertaining to Systemic Sclerosis (Scleroderma) is essential. Preference will be given to those with a background in the clinical management of other Connective Tissue Disorders and General Rheumatology.

As a full-time member of the Division of Rheumatology, the successful applicant will be expected to actively contribute to the academic objectives of both the Faculty and the Division. A proven history in undergraduate and/or postgraduate education is required, and the candidate will be expected to engage fully in departmental and divisional educational initiatives.

The role encompasses a blend of clinical, research, and educational responsibilities. Clinical duties will involve evaluating and treating patients at the Hamilton Rheumatology Clinic, along with regional on-call responsibilities in rheumatology. Educational responsibilities will include mentoring students, residents, and trainees. Research opportunities may span educational, clinical, imaging, or basic sciences, supported by collaborations with McMaster immunologists.

Applicants should hold certification (or be eligible for certification) from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and must be licensed (or eligible for licensure) in Ontario.
