About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Pickleball Manager to join our team at Altea Active. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to promote and grow our pickleball program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive pickleball program, including youth programs, leagues, clinics, instructional programs, tournaments, and social events.
  • Oversee the operational and administrative aspects of our 6-pickleball courts, including scheduling, memberships, events, facilities maintenance, and equipment management.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise pickleball instructors and staff, ensuring they are prepared to deliver high-quality experiences to our members and guests.
  • Manage the daily schedule of court reservations, lessons, clinics, leagues, and tournaments, coordinating with players, instructors, and other departments within the facility.
  • Oversee the maintenance and cleanliness of pickleball equipment, including balls, paddles, and nets, and coordinate with maintenance staff for any repairs or improvements to the pickleball courts or surrounding areas.
  • Handle administrative duties such as record-keeping, tracking participant numbers, preparing reports on program performance, and managing budgets or financial transactions related to pickleball operations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Recreation, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in sports program management, preferably with a focus on racquet sports or pickleball.
  • Strong understanding of pickleball rules, techniques, and industry trends.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Proven leadership abilities with experience in staff management and customer service.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • All team members must have current CPR/First Aid certification prior to start date and must be maintained throughout employment.
  • A recent Criminal Background Check prior to commencement of training and/or work.
