Job Description

Business Analyst - Cost Optimization

Lumentum Operations LLC is seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst - Cost Optimization to join our team. As a key member of our Cloud and Network COO group, you will play a critical role in supporting and driving cost-related initiatives within our platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work extensively with large data sets, performing analytics to identify cost reduction opportunities, revenue growth, and margin improvement.
  • Develop and implement data collection and analysis processes to optimize cost management.
  • Conduct thorough examinations of product costs, including material, transformation, design, and overhead expenses.
  • Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to quantify and prioritize cost reduction activities.
  • Work closely with Product Engineers, PLM, Platform COO, and Finance teams to drive cost optimization initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain a cost roadmap analysis, quantifying past and future performance.
  • Review and analyze low-margin product strategies with the PLM team.
  • Support senior leadership in developing company goals for the next fiscal year.
  • Present regular updates to cross-functional teams.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a Co-op eligible STEM or business program.
  • Previous STEM or business education is an asset.

Desired Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience with software tools such as JMP, Confluence, Tableau, Power BI, Oracle EBS, or Microsoft Office.
  • Strong data analysis skills.
