The Reference Data Analyst plays a pivotal role in identifying, gathering, and evaluating data sources to ensure the integrity and quality of information that meets the organization's operational requirements. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of data management practices and the ability to execute tasks with precision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on business and client classification elements, offering guidance across the organization.
  • Collaborate closely with team members to enhance the quality of content related to business and client classification.
  • Address inquiries in a timely manner to support stakeholders effectively.
  • Analyze and organize data, including large datasets, to maintain data accuracy.
  • Execute updates to reference data and facilitate the onboarding of new data tables into the internal database.
  • Oversee the maintenance of reference data pages and related resources on the internal intranet.
  • Engage in the investigation of data discrepancies and contribute to the development of resolution strategies.
  • Work within an agile framework, utilizing tools such as JIRA to achieve both routine and project-related objectives.
  • Critically assess existing tools and processes, providing recommendations for enhancements.

Qualifications

Essential Skills:

  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in a business services or operational role.
  • Capability to enhance efficiencies in a process-driven environment.
  • Proficiency in basic Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with RBC systems and risk management processes related to business and client classification data.
  • General understanding of business and client classification principles.
  • Experience with JIRA in an Agile setting.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Excel.
  • Knowledge of SQL.
  • Experience in client-facing roles, particularly in creating client profiles or in credit, risk, or operational functions.
  • Strong background in data analysis.
  • Effective decision-making capabilities.
