Position Overview

What is the opportunity?

The Capital Markets Banking Technology division is seeking a seasoned business analyst to drive key deliverables as outlined in our strategic initiatives. In this role, you will be tasked with providing comprehensive business analysis for Global Investment Banking (GIB) projects, facilitating progress across various business lines. You will collaborate with teams across multiple regions to gather insights, document processes, and oversee projects to successful completion. This position will require you to become a subject matter expert in specific areas to support GIB's digital transformation, streamline automation and deal workflows, and manage vendor relationships where necessary.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect and articulate requirements, document processes, and plan projects to enhance workflows.
  • Identify and document processes and procedures for various applications and systems to improve understanding and enhance current workflows.
  • Support the onboarding process for new business units and applications.
  • Collaborate with development and application teams to complete projects and maintain existing systems.
  • Conduct testing and work alongside QA teams to ensure the quality of new developments and fixes.
  • Provide regular updates and status reports to all stakeholders regarding ongoing projects and issues.
  • Offer subject matter expertise on various topics as required.

Qualifications for Success

Essential Skills

  • At least 5 years of experience in business analysis, particularly in the banking sector, including requirements planning, prioritization, and estimation.
  • A blend of traditional business analysis capabilities with lean/agile methodologies, and the ability to apply techniques from either approach (e.g., system context diagrams, use cases, storyboards).
  • Proficiency in using Jira and Confluence.
  • Familiarity with data mapping, data integration, and other data management tasks, such as revenue reporting.
  • Strong initiative, results-oriented mindset, and the ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities. Excellent organizational, project management, and time management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Capital Markets, specifically within Investment Banking.
  • Working knowledge of Windows, Unix, and database systems.
  • Experience with vendor products such as Sage, Argus, or Salesforce is advantageous.
