The Corporate Finance Advisory Function

Our Corporate Finance Advisory team focuses on delivering thoughtful capital market solutions to Scotiabank's corporate clients. We partner with various teams within GBM, including Debt Capital Markets, Equity Capital Markets, and other product areas, to provide in-depth analysis, drive idea generation, strengthen financing recommendations, and identify new business opportunities.

Your Role as an Analyst/Associate

We are seeking a highly motivated Analyst or Associate to join our growing team. You will play a key role in supporting senior members of the team by:

  • Evaluating and analyzing the financial needs of corporate clients.
  • Collecting, consolidating, and interpreting company, industry, and market data.
  • Conducting credit rating analysis, including scenario analysis using external credit rating methodologies.
  • Creating well-structured analyses and delivering high-quality presentations to clients.
  • Facilitating the execution of ratings advisory mandates, including supporting the drafting of rating agency presentations and marketing materials for transactions.
  • Liaising with credit rating agencies, cross-functional deal team members, and external clients.
  • Collecting, maintaining, and analyzing client, market, and product data.
  • Identifying and developing new business opportunities with clients.
