Role Summary
What is the opportunity?
The Capital Markets Banking Technology division is seeking a seasoned business analyst to advance the forthcoming initiatives as specified in our ongoing projects. In this capacity, you will be tasked with delivering business analysis for Global Investment Banking (GIB) initiatives and propelling business progress. You will collaborate with teams across various regions and different business lines to collect information, document processes, and oversee projects to fruition. You will develop expertise in diverse areas to support GIB's digital transformation, automation of deal workflows, and manage vendor partnerships where necessary.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect and articulate requirements, document, and strategize projects to streamline workflows.
- Document and pinpoint processes and procedures for multiple applications and systems to optimize existing workflows.
- Support onboarding for new business lines/applications.
- Collaborate with development/application teams to finalize projects and sustain current applications.
- Conduct testing and liaise with QA teams to ensure the quality of new developments and resolutions.
- Provide consistent updates and status reports to all stakeholders regarding ongoing projects and challenges.
- Offer subject matter expertise on various topics as needed.
Qualifications for Success
Essential Skills:
- At least 5 years of experience in business analysis, including requirements planning, prioritization, and estimation within the banking sector.
- A blend of traditional business analysis capabilities with lean/agile analysis skills, along with the capacity to recognize the necessity for and apply techniques from either skill set (system context diagrams, use cases, storyboards).
- Proficiency in using Jira and Confluence.
- Familiarity with data mapping, data integration, and other data management activities (revenue reporting).
- Ability to take initiative, focus on results, and work independently while managing multiple priorities. Strong organizational, project management, and time management skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Understanding of Capital Markets with an emphasis on Investment Banking.
- Working knowledge of Windows, Unix, and databases.
- Experience with vendor products such as Sage, Argus, or Salesforce is advantageous.
