Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our team at EMCO Corporation. As a Material Handler, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by receiving, storing, and shipping products to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive and inspect incoming shipments to ensure accuracy and quality
  • Store and organize inventory in a safe and efficient manner
  • Pick and pack orders for shipment to customers
  • Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, to move products around the warehouse
  • Verify and document inventory discrepancies and damaged or defective products
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve warehouse goals and objectives
  • Participate in inventory management and control processes to ensure accurate and up-to-date inventory levels
  • Perform other tasks as required to support the efficient operation of the warehouse

Requirements

  • Grade 12 diploma or equivalent; College and/or University degree an asset
  • Minimum of 1 year of warehouse experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Physical ability to lift, bend, and move products as required
  • Basic math skills and ability to accurately count and record inventory

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience with inventory management software and systems
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations and procedures
  • Ability to learn and operate new equipment and technology
