Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Public Area Attendant to join our team at Eldorado Resort. As a key member of our housekeeping team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of our public areas, ensuring an exceptional guest experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain the overall cleanliness and appearance of public areas, including hallways, lobbies, lounges, washrooms, elevators, stairways, meeting rooms, laundry room, pool areas, offices, and other workspaces.
  • Restock and maintain lobby washrooms and amenity rooms daily.
  • Respond to guest and housekeeping requests in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Vacuum rugs, furniture, and/or draperies using vacuum cleaners and/or steamers.
  • Empty wastebaskets, empty and transport other trash and recyclables to disposal areas.
  • Dust and polish furniture in main areas.
  • Polish silver accessories and metalwork such as fixtures and fittings.
  • Wash windows, walls, ceiling, and woodwork as necessary.
  • Maintain parking lots (sweep, rake leaves, remove the garbage, empty ashtray).
  • Remove any garbage, recyclables, and empty beverage containers from the laundry room.
  • Identify and report preventative and other maintenance issues in public areas.
  • Comply with hotel security, fire regulations, and all health and safety legislation.
  • Carry out lost and found procedures.
  • Assist other departments wherever necessary.
Requirements
  • Positive attitude and self-motivation.
  • Ability to work unsupervised as well as in a team environment.
  • Commitment to delivering high levels of customer service.
  • Sufficient time management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and handle repetitive movements, such as pulling, pushing, lifting, and bending up to 8 hours a day.
  • Previous experience in housekeeping is an asset.
  • Availability to work weekdays and weekends, including holidays.
