Position Scope

The Quality Manager is responsible for overseeing the quality department, ensuring the implementation and maintenance of quality and document control systems. This role includes interviewing, training, developing, evaluating, promoting, and managing personnel within the department. The Quality Manager will spearhead continuous improvement initiatives and support comprehensive quality enhancement efforts across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess and enhance quality control techniques and reliability measures.
  • Collaborate with Process Engineering on modifications and improvements.
  • Assist in prototype development and oversee data collection and reporting.
  • Foster a positive work environment and employee morale.
  • Communicate effectively with all organizational levels, both verbally and in writing.
  • Design and implement systems for data collection, maintenance, and analysis.
  • Identify and resolve both basic and complex issues by reviewing relevant information and evaluating options.
  • Ensure that production meets quality specifications.
  • Provide on-site support to customers and suppliers as necessary.

Qualifications

  • At least 8 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with a comprehensive background in quality management.
  • Preferred Six Sigma certification.
  • Understanding of business and management principles related to strategic planning, resource allocation, and leadership.
  • Knowledge of customer needs, quality standards, and customer satisfaction evaluation.
  • Familiarity with production processes, quality control, and cost-effective manufacturing techniques.
  • Ability to develop, plan, and execute both short-term and long-term objectives.
  • Strong organizational capabilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in database applications and statistical software, particularly Microsoft Office.
  • Capacity to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
