We are seeking a skilled Claims Specialist to join our Casualty team at Intact. As a Claims Specialist, you will be responsible for investigating and settling insurance claims in a fair and timely manner.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting thorough investigations into insurance claims to determine liability and extent of damages
- Collaborating with our legal team and peers to ensure prompt and fair settlements
- Building relationships with vendors and stakeholders to facilitate smooth claim resolution
- Providing excellent customer service and communication to policyholders and other parties involved
Requirements for this role include:
- 2-5+ years of experience in liability claims handling
- University degree or equivalent training in a relevant field
- Pursuing or completion of a professional designation in insurance, such as CIP
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of insurance legislation and regulations in the Atlantic provinces
