Lifemark Health Group is a leading provider of community-focused occupational therapy services, dedicated to enhancing the well-being of individuals facing various health challenges. Our team comprises skilled professionals committed to delivering high-quality care and support to our clients, including veterans, first responders, and those with physical and mental health obstacles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement OTA interventions in clients' homes and community settings as directed by the supervising Occupational Therapist.
- Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario Standards of Practice, as delegated by the supervising OT.
- Prepare session documentation using company-approved templates.
- Assist with administrative duties related to clinical file management to support occupational therapists.
- Procure necessary equipment and conduct research pertaining to clients' occupational therapy needs as instructed by the supervising OT.
- Provide assistance with group therapy initiatives, including Chronic Pain Management and Mindfulness sessions.
Qualifications:
- Diploma in Occupational Therapy Assistant/Physical Therapy Assistant (OTA/PTA) from an accredited institution.
- Experience in a healthcare environment with a focus on OTA program delivery.
- Familiarity with private practice and motor vehicle accident sectors is advantageous.
- Bilingual proficiency in French and English.
- Collaborative, energetic, and resourceful team player.
- Excellent communication skills with clients and colleagues.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and adaptability to changing circumstances.
- Proficient in technology and software applications, including Microsoft Office and Adobe; experience with secure document handling.
- Professional demeanor to foster a positive work environment.
- Capability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Commitment to following established procedures and protocols consistently.
- Exceptional oral and written communication abilities.
- Availability for work during standard business hours, Monday to Friday.
- Valid Driver's License and access to a vehicle with appropriate insurance for community interventions.
