Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement OTA interventions in clients' homes and community settings as directed by the supervising Occupational Therapist.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario Standards of Practice, as delegated by the supervising OT.
  • Prepare session documentation using company-approved templates.
  • Assist with administrative duties related to clinical file management to support occupational therapists.
  • Procure necessary equipment and conduct research pertaining to clients' occupational therapy needs as instructed by the supervising OT.
  • Provide assistance with group therapy initiatives, including Chronic Pain Management and Mindfulness sessions.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Occupational Therapy Assistant/Physical Therapy Assistant (OTA/PTA) from an accredited institution.
  • Experience in a healthcare environment with a focus on OTA program delivery.
  • Familiarity with private practice and motor vehicle accident sectors is advantageous.
  • Bilingual proficiency in French and English.
  • Collaborative, energetic, and resourceful team player.
  • Excellent communication skills with clients and colleagues.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and adaptability to changing circumstances.
  • Proficient in technology and software applications, including Microsoft Office and Adobe; experience with secure document handling.
  • Professional demeanor to foster a positive work environment.
  • Capability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Commitment to following established procedures and protocols consistently.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication abilities.
  • Availability for work during standard business hours, Monday to Friday.
  • Valid Driver's License and access to a vehicle with appropriate insurance for community interventions.
