Parts Inventory Analyst

At Toromont Cat, we are seeking a highly skilled Parts Inventory Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our inventory management team, you will be responsible for the procurement of parts, specifically related to Caterpillar, for our entire company. This includes making critical decisions on how much to order and distribute to our 50+ branches, as well as delivering key management reports.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work with the branches on customer 'Buy Back' return requests, determining eligibility, customer buy back pricing, and parts distribution based on analysis.
  • Identify inventory requirements by branch for CAT parts eligible for planned stock orders, and stock order to CAT using detailed guidelines and processes.
  • Update, monitor, and review consignment inventory accounts, ensuring accurate inventory levels through yearly inventory counts.
  • Build and foster working relationships with Caterpillar and key players in each branch to become a trusted source of information and guidance for strategic parts decisions.
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of AS/400, experienced with Excel, Power BI, Power Query, and comfortable with data analysis.
  • Working knowledge of DBS parts system.
  • Knowledge of inventory control policies and procedures.
  • Good interpersonal skills and decision-making skills, with the ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to take initiative.
