About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Banquet Server to join our team at EightSix Network. As a Banquet Server, you will be responsible for ensuring that our guests have an exceptional dining experience. This includes managing the floor staff, ensuring that tables are decorated correctly, and providing exceptional guest service in a friendly yet speedy manner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the floor staff and ensure that team members are dressed in uniform and delivering exceptional guest service.
  • Work directly with the event coordinators or hosts to problem-solve and address any questions or concerns that may arise during or before service.
  • Be the lead on event supervision and execution, ensuring that all details are taken care of.
  • Manage clients in an efficient yet organized manner, including setting up meetings, forwarding contracts, and billing.
  • Deliver feedback and coaching to the banquet team to ensure that they are meeting the highest standards of service.
  • Provide full room set-ups, including A.V. and bar, and ensure that rooms are checked and maintained throughout the service.
  • Manage the bar and liquor orders, as well as scheduling and labor costs.
  • Handle administration duties, including invoicing and A/R, contracts, and customer service.

  • Exceptional guest service skills and attention to detail.
  • Leadership skills that rally the team during big events and resolve conflicts.
  • Ability to manage multiple variables, including food, costs, pricing, scheduling, and more.
  • Impromptu problem-solving skills when dealing with internal and external conflict.
  • Exceptional communication skills, providing leadership to staff and managing guests.
  • High stamina, as you will be on your feet most of the day.
  • Desire and ability to earn the respect of your team.
  • Ability to create a positive working environment and provide ongoing positive feedback to colleagues.
