Retail Sales Manager Job Description

A-1 Cash and Carry is seeking a highly skilled Retail Sales Manager to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, managing staff, and implementing effective sales strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage Staff and Assign Duties: Supervise and motivate a team of sales staff, assign tasks and responsibilities, and provide guidance and support to ensure excellent customer service.
  • Study Market Research and Trends: Analyze market research and trends to determine consumer demand, potential sales volumes, and the impact of competitors' operations on sales.
  • Determine Merchandise and Services: Identify and select merchandise and services to be sold, ensuring they meet customer needs and align with company goals.
  • Implement Price and Credits Policies: Develop and implement pricing and credits policies to maximize sales and profitability.
  • Locate and Procure Merchandise: Source and procure merchandise for resale, ensuring high-quality products and competitive pricing.
  • Develop Marketing Strategies: Create and implement effective marketing strategies to promote products and services, drive sales, and increase customer engagement.
  • Plan Budgets and Monitor Revenues: Develop and manage budgets, monitor revenues and expenses, and make data-driven decisions to optimize sales performance.
  • Determine Staffing Requirements: Assess staffing needs and make recommendations to ensure adequate coverage and excellent customer service.
  • Resolve Issues: Address customer complaints, supply shortages, and other issues that may arise, providing timely and effective solutions.
  • Recruit and Supervise Staff: Recruit, hire, and supervise staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills and training to excel in their roles.
Work Environment:

A-1 Cash and Carry is a dynamic and fast-paced retail environment. As a Retail Sales Manager, you will work in a retail/wholesale establishment/distribution centre, interacting with customers, staff, and suppliers to drive sales growth and excellence.

Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in sales management or a related field.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 32 to 35 hours per week.
