Opportunity Overview:

As an Advanced Practice Nurse (APN), you will deliver a comprehensive array of healthcare services to diverse patient populations, ensuring their safety and overall health. Your leadership will be pivotal in fostering a holistic and integrated approach to patient care, health promotion, and maintenance.

Role Responsibilities:

In this position, you will support the Emergency Department's patient flow by initiating investigations, managing symptoms, and collaborating with the triage nursing team. You will identify patients who may benefit from early diagnostic procedures, pain management, and antiemetic treatments before their evaluation by emergency physicians. The APN will work closely with nursing personnel to oversee patients off-loaded from Emergency Medical Services (EMS) who are awaiting formal care spaces.

Key Qualifications:

To qualify, you must have successfully completed an accredited Nurse Practitioner program and hold a minimum of a master's degree. Registration with the relevant regulatory body as a Nurse Practitioner is essential, including provisional licensure. Additionally, current Basic Cardiac Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BCLS-HCP) certification is required.

Additional Qualifications:

You should possess registration with the regulatory body as a Nurse Practitioner, along with a completed Baccalaureate in Nursing and requisite RN practice hours. Ongoing participation in professional development and certifications specific to your practice area is expected. Compliance with annual training requirements and basic CPR for healthcare providers is also necessary.
