Position Overview:

The Human Resources Manager at West Egg Group plays a crucial role in fostering a positive and safe working environment while ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. This individual will be responsible for implementing HR strategies and policies, with a primary focus on health and safety practices.

Health and Safety Management:

- Develop, implement, and enforce health and safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments to identify potential hazards.
- Collaborate with department heads to address safety concerns and implement corrective actions.
- Stay current with industry regulations and best practices to ensure the organization's compliance.

Employee Relations:

- Handle employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, investigations, and disciplinary actions.
- Foster a positive work environment by promoting open communication and addressing employee concerns.

Talent Acquisition and Retention:

- Oversee the recruitment process, from job posting to onboarding, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience.
- Develop strategies for employee retention and career development.

Training and Development:

- Identify training needs within the organization and coordinate relevant programs.
- Implement initiatives to enhance employee skills and knowledge.

Policy Development and Implementation:

- Draft, update, and communicate HR policies and procedures.
- Ensure that all employees are aware of and comply with company policies.

Benefits Administration:

- Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks.
- Assist employees with benefit-related inquiries and issues.

Data Management:

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records.
- Generate HR reports and analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.

Other Duties as Assigned

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree or certification in Human Resources, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an HR manager or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- CHRP certification is an asset.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
