Agilus is recruiting for a Key Account Manager in the Pet Food Manufacturing Industry in Mississauga, Ontario. The Key Account Manager will manage key accounts that contribute significantly to sales, focusing on building and sustaining long-term, high-value customer relationships. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with both potential and existing national and regional retailers, as well as distributors in the pet category, at the headquarters level.

How you will make an impact:

1. Serve as the primary point of contact for customers and distributors, ensuring satisfaction and addressing complaints.
2. Analyze purchase order history to project sales, assess profitability, and provide input for production and planning.
3. Drive sales growth by focusing on increasing volumes with distributors and customers.
4. Collaborate with executive leadership to develop strategies, sales quotes, pricing, promotions, and bid specifications.
5. Implement product strategies to meet customer needs, aligning product features with market demands.
6. Participate in performance reviews and market presentations to assess and improve business performance.
7. Monitor competitors' trends, merchandising techniques, and market activity to stay competitive.
8. Manage expenses within budget guidelines while adhering to company policies, procedures, and ethical standards.

The successful candidate brings:

1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or Sales.
2. 3-5 years of experience in the pet food industry or consumer packaged goods.
3. Strong ability to analyze and leverage trends and data.
4. Exceptional customer service and negotiation skills.
5. Bilingual French and English an asset.
6. Willingness to travel frequently or spend extended time on the road. Valid, unrestricted driver's license with a clean driving record.
7. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
8. Flexible, able to adapt quickly to changing circumstances, and a strong team player.
