At CHANEL, our Seamstresses are artisans of craftsmanship, delivering meticulous attention to detail to ensure our clients enjoy an impeccable and personalized experience. As a Seamstress, you will provide premium alteration services, maintain the highest standards of quality, and contribute to the seamless operations of the Flagship Boutique. You will play a key role in enhancing client satisfaction and fostering brand loyalty through superior craftsmanship and attentive service.

Tailoring Excellence

- Execute premium tailoring and alteration services, ensuring garments meet CHANEL's Global standards, while meeting alteration deadlines.
- Learn each collection to understand the Studio's statements, recommend alteration methods accordingly, and stay up-to-date on evolvements of guidelines over time.
- Meticulously assess each garment to identify necessary adjustments, ensuring every piece is tailored to perfection.
- Conduct fittings with precision, providing expert guidance to clients while respecting their preferences and needs.
- Perform thorough quality checks on finished alterations, guaranteeing cleanliness, precision, and overall craftsmanship.
- Consistently share collection alteration information on garments with Boutique staff.

Client Relationships

- Build strong and lasting relationships with clients, ensuring their tailoring needs are met with professionalism and care.
- Offer expert advice on garment care, maintenance, and after-sales services to enhance the longevity of each piece.
- Collaborate with the boutique team to deliver a seamless and luxurious client journey.

Operational Efficiency

- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully equipped Tailor Shop to support efficient operations and when required, inform your manager of the shop’s needs regarding tools, materials and supplies
- Assist in stock quality control, repairing or adjusting items as necessary to uphold CHANEL’s standards.
- Ensure timely and accurate record-keeping for all tailoring activities using Chanel after-sales platforms/tools and communicate effectively with the boutique team.

What you will bring to the role

- Tailoring Expertise: 3-5 years of professional tailoring experience, preferably in luxury fashion.
- Client Service Excellence: A passion for creating exceptional client experiences and providing expert advice.
- Strong Organizational Skills: The ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic and fast-paced retail environment.
- Attention to Detail: A meticulous eye for precision and quality in every stitch.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills to engage with clients and collaborate with team members.
- Flexibility: Availability to work retail hours, including weekends, and adaptability to the demands of a luxury retail environment.
- Open mindset: be open to learning new skills and information.
- Awareness: Thorough knowledge of fabrics and garment construction.
