Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented tailor/seamstress to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for sewing and garment construction, with the ability to work on a variety of projects ranging from alterations to custom designs. This role requires a keen eye for detail, creativity, and the ability to provide excellent customer service while delivering high-quality work.

Duties

  • Expertly fit garments on clients to assess and recommend necessary alterations
  • Skilled in repairing defective garments to ensure a perfect finish
  • Thoroughly examine garment tags to identify required adjustments
  • Proficient in shortening sleeves, taking in jackets, and altering dress lengths for a tailored fit

Qualifications

  • Proficient in various sewing techniques, including hand stitching and machine operation.
  • Strong mathematical skills for accurate measurements and calculations in garment construction.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Over three years of experience as a seamstress or tailor.
