Ottawa, Ontario, Canada Healthstandards Full time
Accreditation Canada kicks off a call for assessors as Ontario prepares to expand public access to community surgical and diagnostic centres.

In response to the Ontario government's January 17, 2024 announcement to ensure consistent patient safety and quality health care in community surgical and diagnostic centres, Accreditation Canada (AC) is preparing to become the new inspection body responsible for ensuring quality standards and oversight of the 900+ current (and all future) facilities.

Accreditation Canada is assembling a team of active and experienced assessors who are committed to continuous learning, peer evaluation and leading health quality improvement across Ontario's Integrated Community Health Services Centres (ICHSC).

Assessors are senior health care professionals from accredited health and social care organizations who share our passion for quality improvement and people-centred care for all. Assessors play a fundamental role in conducting assessments of members' practices, both on-site and remotely, to ensure compliance with quality standards and facilitate continuous improvement. These dedicated professionals bring invaluable experience, knowledge, and insight to peer organizations in Canada and around the world.

We are currently accepting assessor applications for the Integrated Community Health Services Centres (ICHSC) inspection program, and encourage physicians, technologists, managers, and scientists with valuable knowledge and expertise in diagnostics to apply for this role. In Canada and around the world, we are building a bold and bright future for our enterprise and our clients. If you are looking for a challenge and seeking to be part of something larger than yourself, this opportunity could be for you.

Terms: Assessors manage and direct their own assessment schedules. Time commitment can vary according to availability and practice specialty. Assignments for on-site Assessors are generally 1–2 days in length; physician reviewers work remotely reviewing cases. Assessors will also participate in initial training and complete ongoing learning requirements.

Compensation: Assessors are paid an honorarium for time spent on inspection and training and are reimbursed for travel expenses.

Application Deadline: Ongoing recruitment. Application will be closed once targets have been met.

Location: Ontario, Canada
