Overview

Being a Business Development Manager means creating strong business relationships with dealers in the Automotive industry.

We are currently seeking a Business Development Manager to join our Consumer Financing Services Ontario Sales Team, based in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) – West. You will develop and implement action plans and business development strategies based on established business strategies. You will work with automotive dealerships in the GTA West (Brampton/Caledon, Bolton, Orangeville, North York Corridor) to enhance our National Bank brand in the market, help grow our loan portfolio and increase our market share.

Responsibilities

- Identify emerging business opportunities in the market and make recommendations regarding those opportunities.

- Execute a business plan and be nimble in adapting the plan to changing market conditions and realities in your territory.

- Establish and maintain effective communication with dealers and various other internal parties across all related business lines.

- Establish a preferred relationship with clients and ensure client satisfaction by providing personalized service.

- Increase the visibility of the Bank's products and services by taking part in various external activities, industry shows and related events where required.

Requirements

- Completed Bachelor's degree in a related field and five years' relevant experience or completed master's degree in a related field and three years' relevant experience.

- Ready to travel within the designated territory; 80% travel required.

- Experience and demonstrated success in B2B business development.

- Experience in account management, sales and customer service.

- Experience in the Indirect Consumer Financing industry or leasing.

- Valid driver's license and ability to maintain a home office. Travel expenses reimbursed in accordance with bank policy.
