**Compensation**: $114,858.00 - $142,584.00

The salary range represents the minimum and maximum salary for the position. Employees are usually hired between the minimum and mid-point of the salary range.

**The Opportunity**:
The Director of Student Services is responsible for the overall management of the Student & Career Services department which assists full time and part time students on all campuses. They form and carry out strategies, change processes, manage, and support staff, problem-solve, and represent the department in internal and external capacities. They work with the rest of the senior management team to help fulfill our vision. They also have input in the creation of organizational-wide strategy and are responsible for implementing it at the department’s level. They build long-lasting relationships, partnerships, and networks with various stakeholders, including professional associations, BCIT contacts and especially businesses, to further the goals of the department. They develop and implement strategies to grow the reach, knowledge, and impact of the entire department. This position also advances BCITSA’s equity, diversity and inclusion values and incorporates these values into their work, their team’s work and professional relationships.

**What You Will Do**:

- Provide strategic direction to Career Services, Entrepreneurial Services, Student Development, Health & Wellness departments, and other services as needed
- Support all departments in the development, implementation, and evaluation of all services and programs Get student feedback on current and potential future services to continually ensure services are valuable and impactful
- Manage all aspects of the Career Services department including a suite of services for both employers and students
- Utilize contemporary career development theories and best practices to develop career education curricula for students that addresses current and relevant career development topics
- Develop, build, and maintain relationships with stakeholders, such as BCIT staff, Student Executives, and local, national and international organizations, as it relates to the development of opportunities for students
- Set departmental goals and objectives as per our strategic plan
- Manage and oversee all HR aspects for permanent full-time and part-time staff, and volunteers
- Develop all the department budgets for approval with input from relevant operational staff
