A post-secondary diploma in Food Service and Nutrition Management, from an approved educational institution, OR

A post-secondary degree in food and nutrition, AND

Proof of membership in the Canadian Society of Nutrition Management (CSNM).

**Job Performance**

Provide supportive, effective, optimistic leadership to all nutritional care staff.

Ensure that effective management systems (including reporting and internal control) within the nutritional care department are maintained to ensure compliance with all applicable legislation, Fixing Long-Term Care Act, and corresponding regulations, standards, policies and procedures.

Recruit, hire, train, promote, monitor and manage nutritional care personnel; evaluate employee performance in accordance with established policy; assist in the training of personnel in other departments.

Facilitate the bi-annual menu implementation process. Ensure menus are implemented within established timelines and according to policies and procedures and applicable legislation.

Ensure resident preferences and requests are recognized and accommodated, and documented in keeping with policy.

Ensure the provision and maintenance of standardized recipes and food production sheets that correspond appropriately with the menu and forecasted production requirements.

Communicate with the home’s Registered Dietitian as required to ensure appropriate and necessary nutritional care is provided to each resident. Implement nutritional interventions as directed by the Registered Dietitian.

Applicants must be permanently eligible to work in Canada upon hire. Proof of eligibility for permanent roles may come in the form of a Canadian birth certificate, Canadian passport, Canadian citizenship certificate, permanent residence card, or Confirmation of Permanent Residence document.
