The Project Coordinator will jointly report to the Manager of Strategy & Special Projects and Clinical Director of the Peter Munk Cardiac Centre (PMCC). This role entails collaborating with program leadership to support the design, implementation, and coordination of a two-year mentorship program for nurses at the PMCC, and other projects aligned with the PMCC strategic plan. We are looking for a talented and passionate Project Coordinator to work closely with the leadership team and key stakeholders to implement a learner-centered nursing mentorship program that is designed help nurses realize their career goals, learn new skills, or participate in specific projects. We anticipate that this mentorship program, unique to the PMCC, will retain and attract nurses within PMCC through our clear commitment to invest in professional development and growth opportunities.

The mentorship program aims to connect seasoned nurse mentors with early career nurses, enabling the transfer of clinical experience, wisdom, and intellectual capital. Mentors will offer dedicated support, assisting early career nurses in real-time by answering questions, providing advice, and offering feedback as they acquire knowledge and skills. Early-career nurses will have the opportunity to engage in short-term internships as mentees, allowing them to explore additional clinical, educational, or quality improvement competencies, as well as enhancing interpersonal skills. Late-career nurses will serve as mentors, providing leadership and mentorship by sharing their clinical expertise and knowledge.

Year 1 of the program will involve co-designing and launching the mentorship program, promoting program awareness, identifying, and coordinating the first cohort of mentors and mentees, and conducting program evaluations. In Year 2, the focus will be on refining the program based on Year 1 evaluations, launching the second mentorship cohort, conducting program evaluations, and exploring the feasibility of expanding the program to other UHN programs.

**JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**:
The responsibilities of the PMCC Project Coordinator includes:

- Coordinating the implementation, and evaluation of a new nursing mentorship program in collaboration with the leadership team and key stakeholders.
- Creating a project plan, establishing timelines and milestones to achieve program objectives.
- Manage project activities related to scope, schedule, resources, communications, risk, financial budget, and development of resulting project documentation.
- Managing the scheduling of mentors, mentees, and other program activities.
- Collecting, extracting, and managing relevant data.
- Supporting program evaluation, including conducting well-being assessments using the Mayo Clinic Well-Being Index.
- Preparing and distributing relevant reporting packages for management to facilitate decision-making and project reporting.
- Performing administrative tasks to ensure adherence to program standards.
- Monitoring the progress and quality of work associated with program activities and outcomes.
- Demonstrating decision-making capabilities, judgment, and independence to coordinate complex tasks.
- Collaborating with stakeholders and other project team members on integrated projects, as assigned or requested.
- Performing cross-functional and/or other duties consistent with the job classification, as assigned or requested.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Bachelors in Health Sciences, Health Informatics, Engineering, Education, Business/Health Administration or Regulated Health Profession Discipline required; Master’s preferred
