**Medical Office Assistant**

K-W CardioPulmonary Services is a full-service, multi-specialty group of physicians and providers who are committed to improving the health of the Waterloo, ON community. We are looking for a Medical Office Assistant to join our team

**Responsibilities**
- Greeting and assisting patients in a timely manner. Checking patients in and out as needed
- Answering phones and scheduling appointments
- Scheduling medical tests, labs, imaging, and prescriptions
- Providing basic patient information to patients as needed
- Scheduling follow-up calls for patients with follow-up appointments
- Collecting payment for services rendered from patients as needed
- Other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor

Qualifications:

- High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associates degree preferred. College credit hours for work experience preferred.
- Previous experience in a medical office preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively with all types of people.
- Ability to work well under pressure and prioritize tasks.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Ability to work independently or as a member of a team.
- Ability to take direction well.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment while being organized, detailed-oriented, and accurate with data entry.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 24-40 per week

**Salary**: $22.00-$24.00 per hour

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Dental receptionist: 1 year (preferred)
