This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Operations Manager to join Grover Law Firm.
The Operations Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring that our law firm runs smoothly, effectively, and professionally. By managing everything from human resources to financial management, this role is integral to our firm’s success.
We are a boutique personal injury law firm with 20 years of experience helping injured people get the compensation they deserve. At Grover Law Firm in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, we are obsessed with providing a world-class client experience. Helping injured people is what we do.
**Position Summary**:
Operations Manager will be the key point of leadership to all team.
Below are a few areas that this person will be responsible for:
**Operations Management**:
- Supervise the workflow of lawyer and non-lawyer team members
- Draft, implement, maintain, improve, and monitor execution of the firm’s systems (policies, procedures, memos, checklists, templates, examples, etc.) in close consultation with managing partner
- Ensure the firm’s systems are documented and followed
- Oversee the day-to-day work of intake, pre-litigation, and litigation departments to ensure all goals are met, as well as create efficiencies in the departments’ operations
**Financial Management**:
- Oversee financial management including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
- Ensure that the firm’s financial goals are met by managing the billable goals (number of offers sent, settled files, etc.) on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
- Develop key KPI’s (financial, marketing, client acquisition, productivity)
**Human Resources Management**:
- Manage and coordinate human resources activities, such as recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance evaluations
- Train, supervise, evaluate employee performance, and recommend promotions and disciplinary actions
- Enforce the firm’s policies.
**Customer Service Management**:
- Oversee client experience to ensure clients receive excellent service, as well as legal and ethical requirements are met
- Develop strong and close relationships with clients and internal team
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Law or related field. Advanced degree would be a plus
- 3-5 years of management experience. Experience in law firms’ operations would be an asset
- Strong understanding of law firms’ financials and budgeting
- Entrepreneurial spirit is a must. We want a “go-getter”
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Strong organizational skills and flexible to adapt to changing business needs
