**TECHNICAL SERVICES AND COMMISSIONING MANAGER**

In your role as Technical Services and Commissioning Manager and without limiting the generality of your position and role, your responsibilities will include:
(a) Core Responsibilities

Technical Services:

- Maintain project-related systems and standardized reporting for ongoing projects.
- Liaise with Engineering to complete HAZOP design reviews of equipment and systems before, during and after fabrication and installation.
- Develop and maintain 4-Phase commissioning documentation and software.
- Identify and resolve potential interference or problems with design, evaluate and implement design improvements and change orders with budget and risk in mind.
- Update and contribute to company best practices by tracking and understanding emerging trends, practices, and standards.
- Act as point of critical feedback loop to ensure best-practices, learning outcomes and opportunities for improvement are routed to the Engineering team.
- Work with various managers for budgeting and planning initiatives for projects and/or R&D initiatives.
- Critically review and/or proof technical project documents.
- Function as the primary point of contact for Clients in a post-installation support role to field questions, trouble-shoot and de-bottleneck as required.
- Develop and maintain a database of Standard-Operating-Procedures (“SOP’s”) for generic and Client/Site-specific equipment and systems.
- Complete pre-commissioning site visits to align expectations with Clients and to ensure smooth implementation of projects.

Commissioning:

- Act as company site representative during project construction and implementation phases.
- Lead installation and commissioning of equipment including wet/dry process checks on process, mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems; calibrate instruments and sensors per company standards.
- Work closely with electrical, controls and instrumentation engineers to successfully develop and implement improvements to PLC-HMI interfaces and smooth integration with Client’s DCS and MCC.
- Ensuring that all necessary, Client checklists, procedures have been successful completed;
- Complete ore commissioning activities and ensure all equipment can be brought to steady-state production with efficient and timely hand-over to the Client;
- Audit and interrogate construction, installation of equipment to ensure that it has been done correctly and is compliant with drawings, instructions.
- Ensure effective hand-over, title-transfer of equipment to the Client;
- Ensure all signoffs and commissioning processes have been concluded to ensure payment from the Client.
- Train operators assigned by the Customer.
- Develop and maintain training resources.
- Ensure compliance with regional, local, site procedures/protocols and enforce proper codes of conduct including health, safety, and environment.
- Collect and approve timesheets for all site personnel under company purview.

General:

- Pass physical, medical, drug-screening exam(s) if necessary;
- Vancouver or Kamloops based; with global travel (primarily US, Africa and Latin America)

(b) Inter-Departmental Communication(s)
- Interface with Projects in support of efforts to develop and maintain the project schedule.
- Interface with Projects regarding coordination of assets, resources, staff, and sub-contractors.
- Interface with Engineering and design personnel to ensure continuous improvement for operations, maintenance, installation, and performance of the equipment.
- Interface between the Owner’s team, Sub-Contractors, Suppliers/Vendors, company Operations, Engineering, Projects, Supply Chain to maximize performance between the group.

(c) Other Responsibilities
- Assist Engineering and Supply Chain in researching equipment suppliers, components, and developing/maintaining technology/equipment databases.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Salary**: From $90,000.00 per year
