**Your Opportunity**:
Reporting directly to the Associate Chief Allied Health Officer (ACAHO), the Administrative Support - Executive Assistant position is responsible for coordinating the activities of this executive office. The Executive Assistant acts as a conduit and liaison between the ACAHO and all other departments, divisions, and government portfolios, working closely with Senior Operating Officers, executive directors, directors, executive administrative staff, and corporate services. The position requires a thorough understanding of AHS as an organization and how the ACAHO role integrates within its structure.

**Description**:
Key responsibilities include: Direct day-to-day administrative responsibilities of the office of the ACAHO. Providing support to committees chaired by the ACAHO including preparing background material, gathering and relaying confidential information and material. Proactively creating and maintaining effective workflow to accomplish the work of the ACAHO office which includes the handling of a variety of projects and tasks simultaneously; modifying process practices to achieve results and improve efficiency. Making decisions within guidelines in the absence of the ACAHO. Participating and leading special projects such as provincial job descriptions, operational plans, and information management. Monitoring budget and flagging significant variances, overseeing the timely and accurate processing of accounts payable activities (Markview, iExpense) related to these funds. Recruit and orient new staff, monitor overtime, sick and vacation banks (RMS). Monitoring, tracking and negotiating timelines on all Action Requests.

**Required Qualifications**:
Grade 12 with post-secondary administrative diploma. A minimum of 10 years advanced administrative experience supporting at the executive level required; preferably with a background in a healthcare environment (a combination of formal education, training and experience will be considered).

**Additional Required Qualifications**:
Comprehensive knowledge of Alberta Health Services systems and processes. Coordinating projects and project support experience. Financial and accounting systems. Human Resources systems. Fluency with virtual platforms (e.g.: Teams, Zoom). Experience with other platforms and programs (e.g., SharePoint and Adobe Acrobat). Excellent keyboarding and data entry skills. Critical thinking and strong organizational skills. Ability to manage competing, evolving, and complex demands.

**Preferred Qualifications**:
Bachelor's degree in business administration. Expert level written, verbal and listening communication skills. Ability to establish and maintain collaborative, positive working relationships, and communication networks within and outside the organization. Efficient and effective in managing multiple and competing priorities with attention to detail. Excellent calendar management skills and attendance record.
